Born a Crime Chapter 12


Theme

Don't hide your feelings just because you are afraid. Be brave and say exactly what you feel and what you think . 


Summary

Trevor had a crush on the girl named Zaheera, but he was too afraid to confess his love. One day Zaheera left the school and Trevor didn't get to see her anymore. He later got to know that she also had a crush on him, and waited him to ask her out. 


My Story

My story dates back to 2019, and it is not a love story, but a story where I had to bite my tongue because I didn't want to make a noise. Few years ago, our class opened a snack booth for the school festival. There was a huge  controversy over our shopping list. I also thought some of the classmates' ideas were stupid. We desperately needed more ricecakes. However, in order to make peace so that I do not ruin the cheerful atmosphere of the festival, I did whatever they want. I was afraid there would be a bigger controversy if I speak out. I was afraid of being rejected. At the end of the festival, we were running out of ricecakes. We definitely should have bought more. I regret hiding my thoughts just because I was afraid. Remember that regretting("I should have done that. I should have done this. I could have been better...etc) is more painful than being rejected. As Trevor mentioned, "Failure is an answer. Rejection is an answer"

Week 2

 Theme People judge each other by the way they look on the outside. It is hard to change their stubborn perception. (Confirmation bias)  Summary Trevor got into the A class in a private school. He got to meet a lot of black kids in the school, but they all tiptoed around him just because of skin color. He doesn't belong anywhere; neither white nor black. Trevor and his mom needed to deal with the people pointing finger at them. Despite the circumstances, Trevor and his mom made their own way out of poverty and obstacles.  My Opinion Being allergic to schools, I don't talk very much at school as much I do outside of school. I don't put makeup on very often. I don't private clothes (*private clothes- something that is not school uniform ex. nike / it is illegal to wear something that is not a school uniform at school , but the cool kids wear it anyways) like the "cool kids" do. Week 7

Chapter 14 Summary Tom, Trevor's friend introduced Trevor a beautiful girl named Bikini for the prom. Trevor was excited to go on a date with the "most beautiful girl" in the world, and spent time with her, looking forward taking her to the party. On the prom night, he figured out that she cannot speak English at all.  Theme Reputation does not mean everything.   My Story Now I don't really care about building a good reputation, or being a super star among friends. However, few years ago when I was in elementary school, I cared a lot about how I would look to others. I tried my best to be that kid everyone wants to hang out, and I also worried a lot about my relationships with the others. I needed to act like a performer on the stage. That was the hardest part.
